The TRITON 360° Rotator and Quick Release Device is a very useful accessory and upgrade for any existing panhead or ball head. Just screw the device on top of the panhead and you will have an easy-to-use and sturdy quick release and rotation device. The RP5 will fit on any panhead, no matter whether it has the 1/4" or the 3/8" thread on top.
Functions of the RP-5:
- Quick Release Device: You can remove and attach your instrument within a matter of seconds. A spring-loaded safety catch prevents the expensive camera or spotting scope from accidentally dropping to the ground. With additional quick release plates (available optionally) you can switch between different instruments easily.
- 360° Rotation: The camera or spotting scope can be freely rotated a full 360°, thanks to the clever design of the RP5. This is particularly comfortable for panorama photography. The rotation can be locked with a large locking screw.
- Adaptation of 1/4" accessories to 3/8" tripods or panhead: The RP5 is the ideal solution to a very common problem. If the instrument you want to put on the tripod has only the standard 1/4" thread, but the tripod or panhead has only the 3/8" thread, then the RP-5 will provide the ideal adaptation between these two otherwise incompatible parts.
